New game on the way? Kojima Productions publishes mysterious teaser

Designer Hideo Kojima loves to mess with fans' heads with cryptic elements. This time, his studio, Kojima Productions, has published a mysterious image that could indicate the next big project from the creator of Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid.

The official Kojima Productions website has been updated and now shows an image of the silhouette of a woman, whose identity has not been revealed, and the phrase "Who am I?" ("who am I", in Portuguese). By clicking on it, the site gives options to share the teaser on social networks.

Although the woman's identity has not been revealed, it is possible that a fan found out. Responding to a post by Geofff Keighley, creator of the Game Awards and a personal friend of Kojima's, a user suggested that she is American actress Elle Fanning.

Fans also searched on social media and found that actor Norman Reedus is a follower of the actress, raising the theory that the teaser is about Death Stranding 2, which is reportedly already in development. When talking about Hideo Kojima, however, things are rarely that simple.

While the enigmatic designer doesn't reveal his next big project, Kojima can be caught up on his podcast, Brain Structure, available in both English and Japanese, which was announced during Gamescom 2022.
